Red-Faced In the Rain?

Liverpool haven't won any of their last 5 trips to Selhurst Park in all competitions, blowing a 3-0 lead and the title there back in May.

Liverpool will be hoping to outpass Palace but conditions might just suit the hosts in south London on Sunday afternoon with the rain lashing down. At the very least it should be a leveller.

The Eagles will start the match second bottom of the table after Saturday’s results but they know that three points would move them up to 15th and only two points behind their opponents.

The Reds have been rocked by a fresh injury setback to Daniel Sturridge but the return of Palace’s first choice centre back pairing could be equally significant. Scott Dann and Damien Delaney were instrumental to the revival under Tony Pulis last term but at least one has been missing for much of 2014-15.

At Old Trafford they re-united and the Londoners immediately looking more defensively resolute; the pair were hugely unlucky to end up on the losing side after a deflected Juan Mata effort from distance made it 1-0 to United.

Neil Warnock will be further boosted by the likely return of captain Mile Jedinak and influential winger Wilfried Zaha. With scourge of Liverpool, Dwight Gayle looming on the bench, a home victory at best odds of 10/3 could be on the cards.
