Watford Waiting To Conquer

The Hornets have scored 2 goals or more in 10 of 13 league games. That ranks 2nd only to Man City and is enough to win the majority of fixtures.

As pointed out at the weekend, Watford would be 3rd now had they held onto 2nd half leads against Chelsea and Everton. But regardless they are very comfortably top 8 and shouldn’t be as long as 19/4 (Bet365) to win at home to Man Utd.

The Red Devils were fortunate to beat Brighton at Old Trafford, courtesy of a heavily deflected goal. Mourinho recently tried to explain away a whole series of average attacking performances by saying United with Pogba are an entirely different beast, but the former Juve man was there on Saturday and they still laboured.

In their past eight league games United have only scored more than one goal twice. The Hornets have scored two or more goals in seven of their last eight.

If they have a good defensive day then this clash at Vicarage Road is distinctly winnable for the underdogs.
