Watford Improve Over Summer

Watford Improved Over Summer

Both Watford and Liverpool have improved over the summer but the Coutinho saga overshadows Liverpool's transfer business.

Watford finished the 2016/17 in abject fashion losing six straight games but it might be a blessing in disguise. It forced Walter Mazzarri out of the door (he may have left anyway) and instigated a positive recruitment round.

Marco Silva impressed in a short period of time at Hull, making significant improvements in their underlying metrics and hiring him was something of a coup for Watford. The player side of things has also improved.

Watford have being buying British in the most part with Will Hughes, Nathaniel Chalobah and Andrew Gray all upgrades on the current playing staff with Brazilian Richarlison the potential wildcard.

Meanwhile Liverpool are rocked by the news that star midfielder Philippe Coutinho wants to go to Barcelona. Even without that, they would have their work cut out against an improved Watford.
