Villa Owe Home Fans A Performance
Aston Villa’s mauling against Liverpool was their first defeat in five home games and Everton are consistently overrated by the market.
Aston Villa are virtual certainties for relegation but while mathematically there is still hope I wouldn’t give up on them. The bookmakers have written them off because otherwise how can they be 17/4 to win at home?
Yes, they were abject against Liverpool but that was their first defeat at Villa Park in five league matches and they’ve only lost at home by more than one goal, twice all season.
As for Everton, they are regularly overrated in the betting markets. On paper they have a strong team but their league position is a fair reflection of their performances. They are over reliant on Romelu Lukaku for goals whilst their defence is 11th in goals allowed this season.
It might seem a tough bet to strike but Villa are the value at 17/4 (BetVictor).
