Upset At The Hawthorns
West Brom have the ninth best defence in the league (based on expected goals against) and if a Pulis team wins it’s usually 1-0.
Unless you are one of their long-suffering fans it’s easy to forget that West Brom exist. They are cannily run, enough to avoid relegation but don’t have the quality to push beyond mid-table. Tony Pulis knows the limitations of his squad and they play to their strengths.
Last season’s highlights including home wins over Arsenal and Man Utd; Tottenham should be wary of a trip to the Hawthorns. West Brom are 4/1 to win but as we have noted in the past, the majority of Tony Pulis’s victories are 1-0 and the value is found in the correct score market.
Tottenham for their part have been functional rather than spectacular, they’ve only scored two goals or more in three league fixtures this term.
If West Brom can frustrate their opponents, a 1-0 victory can be achieved at 13/1 (BetVictor).
