United To Keep Pace With City - Without The Thrills

Ronald Koeman has demanded a response from his players which should keep things respectable at Old Trafford without an upset occurring.

Heading into the weekend Everton had mustered a league low seven shots on target in the top flight this season. After a summer of heavy investment, that’s a pretty disastrous stat!

Even worse the goals have started flying in at the other end. Koeman has called for his players to be more ‘aggressive’ and we should expect some kind of response at Old Trafford. That is likely to prevent a hammering but a United win and under 2.5 goals in the match looks the play at 23/10 with Boylesports.

Mourinho isn’t bothered about matching the swagger of neighbours City, he just wants to keep securing three points at home. His default method for doing so is picking up 1-0 and 2-0 victories methodically.

With returning hero Rooney the only Everton goalscorer in the Prem this season (2), keep him quiet and a Red Devils’s clean sheet looks likely. On the other hand it’s really hard to imagine the Toffees shutting out United’s combined threat.
