Tyne For A Stalemate

The two lowest scorers in the top flight in 2014 clash at St James's Park, and without their top scorers - Loic Remy and Marouane Chamakh.

Crystal Palace head to the north-east for the second weekend running and could return with the same result, a 0-0 draw, at best odds of 9/1 (No Goal Scorer) with Bet365.

The case for the visitors’ nil is a straightforward one to make. The Eagles are the lowest scorers in the division with just 19 in 29 league matches and 6 in 14 on their travels. The only reason they don’t currently reside in the drop zone is a much improved defence.

Tony Pulis’s boys have the third best goals-against record in the top flight since 7 November and they face opponents whose over-reliance on Loic Remy has really been exposed in recent weeks.

The Frenchman scored the winner for Newcastle in their last home outing but that was the only goal the Magpies have mustered in their last five at St James’s Park. They’ve been shut-out in eight of their last 11 Premier League games all together. With Remy injured, another frustrating afternoon could beckon for the Toon Army.
