Tottenham Tatters

Harry Kane has been missed more than any one player should be. The England captain is expected back ahead of schedule but not in time for the Baggies.

Still kicking myself from having a Spurs-positive bet (Son to score) on Thursday night, I won’t make the same mistake again here. My excuse was that the bookies were all over Chelsea, but the same certainly can’t be said of West Brom.

The Baggies are 6/1 to make it 4 defeats in a row for Mourinho, but that could be a stretch. Instead I’m backing West Brom/Draw in the double chance market at best odds of 17/10 with WilliamHill.

Simply backing against Tottenham makes sense when that would have been a winner in 8 of their last 10 in the league. And it’s not just the results; Spurs’ xGs for their last three games have been a miserable 0.10, 0.37 and 0.57.

If Sam Allardyce can instill a slice of his old magic then the away team can get something in London.
