The Magpies are resurgent which has eased the pressure on Alan Pardew. Mario Balotelli still hasn't scored in the league.
The recent upturn in Newcastle’s fortunes means that we should back against the away win here at best odds of 5/6 with Boylesports. By playing the ‘double chance’ market we get paid out if the Magpies win, or if the match ends as a draw.
Mike Ashley has controversially stuck by Alan Pardew but he has been rewarded with back-to-back victories over Leicester, and more impressively against Spurs at White Hart Lane. The Toon Army have now witnessed just one defeat in their last five outings (W2 D2).
For Liverpool, the hard times continue. The Reds have lost three of their five away games in all competitions this season and it hasn’t been much better at Anfield. If Brendan Rodgers left with all three points it would now constitute a shock.
