Toffees To Keep Champions League Dreams Alive
Everton know that a win at Craven Cottage will put them within touching distance of Arsenal with a game-in-hand.
Nobody has lost more home matches than Fulham (10) which is why relegation looms large on the horizon at Craven Cottage. They may have beaten Newcastle there last time out, but Everton proved they are far superior to the Magpies in midweek.
The only obvious negative with backing the Toffees here is the inevitably discouraging best price of 4/5 (Coral) on the away win. Instead I would suggest adding a ‘margin of victory’ element to the wager; the Blues are 14/5 (Ladbrokes) to win by one goal and that’s where the value lies.
Roberto Martinez’s boys have claimed four of their last five league victories by the odd goal and this ability to see out tight games has been a trademark of the Merseysiders for some time now.
