Time For Clarets
Will Everton really be up for the fight at Turf Moor on a freezing December day? Their form has deserted them after a bright start and Sean Dyche will have his sights set on another three points against the Blues.
I’m sure former pros will soon start asking if James Rodriguez really ‘fancies it’ when it gets cold in England after four matches without a goal or assist. Perhaps they already have!
Well we’ll see what he makes of a testing trip to Turf Moor on Saturday where Everton have lost four of their six Premier League clashes. The Toffees have a much glossier look these days, but their form is poor and Dyche’s Burnley remain as tough on their day as ever.
That may sound dubious given the league table but the Clarets have had a tough start facing Spurs, Chelsea, Man City, Leicester and Southampton. The old Burnley is still in there as evidenced by clean sheets against Palace, Brighton and West Brom.
After four defeats in five for Everton, there’s plenty to like about 31/10 from BetVictor on the home win. But we’re getting greedy by specifically backing Burnley to win 1-0 at best odds of 12/1 with the same firm.
That has been a frequent scoreline when Burnley have won down the years. It was also the outcome in their last home game, and when these sides met here last season.
