The Sprightly One?

Mourinho has swaggered into Spurs looking like his old self. It may not last but a seemingly stale team full of talented individuals should get a short term lift at least.

This is an underrated London derby at the best of times with West Ham regarding it as their biggest match of the season and they’ve enjoyed their fair share of success in recent years.

Say what you want about Jose Mourinho, his shock emergence as Spurs manager will most likely give his new players a shot in the arm. His career win rate of 62% still compares well with the greats and he hasn’t lost an opening match with a new club since pre-Porto days.

Back Tottenham to win and both teams to score in the early kick-off at best odds of 2/1 with Bet365.

Neither team looks good for a clean sheet. Spurs have conceded in 7 league games in a row while West Ham’s run is one fewer, but with 6 goals conceded in the most recent outings against Newcastle and Burnley - hardly prolific outfits.
