Leicester (17/20) to win at home to Bournemouth:
This one looks even stronger than odds a shade better than evens given how well Brendan Rodgers has started and how poorly Bournemouht continue to travel. Eddie Howe refuses to compromise with his approach on the road, which may sound commendable, but 9 straight away defeats prior to the win at Huddersfield, suggests it’s a flawed strategy.
Southampton (21/10) to win away to Brighton:
I could understand looking at this one and saying Brighton are worth backing given their home record and I get it; I’ve argued that case many times before! But the situation is a bit different now with Saints both the more desperate for points and in decent nick after recent wins over Spurs and Fulham and a great showing at Old Trafford. Amazingly they’ve even had 3 weeks off.
Sheffield Wednesday (13/5) to win away to Stoke:
The odds suggest this is the biggest gamble of the lot but Wednesday after flying under Steve Bruce, now on an 11-match unbeaten run which has seen the Owls storm into Championship play-off contention. Pre-season promotion favourites Stoke must be on the world’s most miserable 7 game unbeaten run - given 6 of those were draws to end any lingering top-6 hopes and the last 3 ended 0-0!
