We've seen Liverpool stutter on the big Anfield occasion all too recently. Klopp needs time and the Saints have match-winners.
There’s a lot of expectation surrounding Jurgen Klopp’s appointment at Anfield but we saw on Thursday night when Liverpool drew 1-1 with 10-man Rubin Kazan, there is no magic wand.
Southampton are a decent side, arguably the equal of their hosts, so there is value to be found here. The best bet looks like Saido Mane to score anytime at best odds of 7/2 with Betfred.
Graziano Pelle also looks tempting (12/5 Bet365) but he tends to score most of his goals at St Mary’s Stadium so at the price I’m just favouring Mane today.
The Senagalese international was unplayable when the Saints won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in their last away outing, scoring once and having several other close calls.
This should be a similar occasion and the 23-year-old would love to play the role of party pooper again.
