Swansea v Stoke Preview

Swansea have stumbled in recent weeks but they’ve only been losing by the odd goal and a home game against Stoke is the perfect opportunity to gain a valuable three points.

Eleven points separate the sides but there isn’t a huge difference in the underlying shot numbers. Swansea concede 13.9 shots per game, Stoke 14.5 whilst the teams average the same number of shots per game at 10.9.

You could argue Stoke have better quality in their squad and we haven’t considered shot locations but it’s fair to say these are two evenly matched teams. The main difference in output is because Swansea have struggled to convert or save their shots on target but these are prone to variance.
