Swans Fortunes Due For A Change

Everton are playing worse than their results recently while Swansea have been better than theirs. Perhaps the rub of the green will begin to even out on Saturday.

On the face of it, this should be a home banker. Everton have won their last seven at Goodison Park across all competitions while Swansea have slipped right into the thick of the relegation tussle.

But looking at things a little closer, this match should be anything but one-sided. The Toffees fluked an injury time winner at home to Cardiff last week and got thumped 4-1 by Arsenal the time before that. In contrast, the Swans have dominated their last two fixtures against WBA and Palace and somehow only took a solitary point in total.

One man who always threatens is Wilfried Bony. His 3.2 shots per game make him one of the most dangerous strikers in top flight and he has a knack of scoring against the top sides. The Ivorian has already pounced against Man City (2), Man Utd, Spurs and Liverpool, and that’s just since the turn of the year.

The 25-year-old even had 5 attempts on goal at mighty Napoli recently so we should expect him to cause plenty of problems again on Merseyside. At a best price of 3/1 (Betfred), Bony rates as excellent value in the anytime goalscorer market.
