Leicester won their fixtures against Newcastle last season by a combined 8-0. Man City have the best defence in Europe suddenly and are poised to make their move up the table.
With Manchester City’s squad depleted due to Covid, it would be easy to make a case for Chelsea maintaining their decent home record, but we’re instead taking PaddyPower’s enhanced 4/1 on Man City and Leicester both winning on Sunday - that’s up from 5/2.
The 2018 and 2019 champions have been strangely quiet this season, and currently sit 8th, but they still lurk ominously in title contention. They’re 7pts behind Liverpool, but with two games-in-hand.
Pep has nonchalantly accrued 13 clean sheets across all competitions, the best record across the top-5 European leagues. You would expect the likes of Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne to all increase their scoring rates, so the future still looks pretty bright at the Etihad.
As for Leicester, they won’t be underestimating Newcastle after the Toon secured a notable point with Liverpool last time out. It won’t be easy, but the Foxes still have an outstanding away record, and the inevitable return of Jamie Vardy after a rest should make the difference.
