Stalemate At Villa Park

Aston Villa are the 6/5 (BetVictor) favourites to take the spoils after their thrilling victory over Chelsea, but we’ve seen all season that they raise their level against the big guns. Back against one of the division’s smaller sides, I anticipate a draw at best odds of 23/10 with Bet365.

Admittedly, for the most part Stoke have been pretty wretched away from the Britannia but they are generally improving. They are unbeaten in three in total and their last three away games have yielded creditable draws at Norwich and Southampton plus an unlucky 1-0 loss at the Etihad.

The last three clashes between these two at Villa Park have ended level and there’s little reason to think that trend will stop here.
