St James's Lark For Giroud

This is a fixture that Arsenal and one man in particular tend to enjoy.

Newcastle will have taken great heart from their 0-0 draw at Old Trafford last weekend but another clash with one of last season’s top four will provide a very different challenge.

Arsenal are currently more successful on the road (W6 D1 L0) and they have emerged victorious seven times in a row against the Magpies.

Two other things make me think this one will go to form. Firstly, Steve McClaren has already spoken of the St James’s Park crowd’s demand for attacking football. A more adventurous approach to what worked at Man Utd plays right into Arsene Wenger’s hands.

Secondly, the Gunners are due some goals having only converted a measly 5% of their chances this season. They have the quality in the final third and that percentage will rise very soon.

Olivier Giroud found the net in the first away game of 2015-16 and he has struck no fewer than eight times in six outings against the Toon Army. Back Arsenal to win with the Frenchman to score anytime at a best price of 21/10 with Paddy Power.
