Spurs Can Keep Title Race Going

Forget history. Spurs should be more decisive favourites given the 22-point lead they hold over their London rivals while Kane remains on fire.

We’ve already seen this weekend the huge impact that lack of focus can make to results at this time of the season. Liverpool and Manchester City both lost pretty comfortably with one eye on upcoming European semi-finals.

Chelsea have nothing to look forward to but that’s the problem - they are 10th and spoiling Spurs’ title bid is their only incentive tonight. Some think that’s plenty, but I’m not convinced the players care as much as the fans about local rivalries.

Pushing all that to one side, Spurs are much the better team as demonstrated by the 22-point lead they hold over the outgoing champions. They also perform much better against the strongest opponents.

The Blues rank a poor 15th in home matches against the top 10 sides in 2015-16, winning just two of eight outings against fellow big guns.

Pochettino can also call upon Harry Kane who has scored nine in his last ten outings for club and country. Spurs to win with the England striker to score is 3/1 with Skybet who are running one of their price boosts.
