Sinned Against Saints Ready To Fire Again

Pelle is a big price to score at the Emirates considering the number of shots he has had this season and the goals which have only stopped flowing very recently.

The consensus that Southampton got found out on Sunday seems a little harsh considering everyone else in the league (bar Chelsea) have had more bad days at the office. Arsenal, for example, have only won two of their six home games in the Premier League in 2014-15.

The Saints have a chance to quickly prove people wrong when they visit the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night and Graziano Pelle looks particularly good value at best odds of 5/2 to score anytime.

Admittedly, the 6ft 4in striker hasn’t scored for four matches, but having struck nine times in 10 appearances across all competitions before that, he deserves some strong consideration at the price.

Unlike somebody like Leonardo Ulloa who stopped scoring and stopped shooting, Pelle continues to be one of the most dangerous strikers in the country based on attempts per game. The Italian still averages 3.8 shots per game which only puts him behind Aguero and the much maligned Balotelli in that category.
