Shortage of Heroes For Villains

Aston Villa badly miss Christian Benteke's goals but at least the defence has improved so far this season.

It’s very unlikely there will be much to get excited about at Villa Park tomorrow and so we might as well just go with that likelihood and take the best price 13/2 (Ladbrokes) on there being no goalscorer.

Aston Villa will be delighted to have started a top flight campaign with two clean sheets for only the second time since 1932-33, but that really is the only good news for Paul Lambert.

The west-Midlanders have also only managed one goal, and the truth is they are lucky to have that. They have only registered one shot on target in the league so far, and just two in their last four games if you go back to last season.

Hull are faring marginally better having scored two goals and conceded once this term. But with four points on the board and following a tough Europa League fixture, Steve Bruce would surely settle for a bore draw, which looks on the cards here.
