Seagulls Falling Off A Cliff
The threat of relegation can suffocate a team, and Brighton have found themselves right in the danger zone after an awful run. Huddersfield may be past any nerves with their fate all but sealed.
Call me a hopeless romantic but I love the spirit at Huddersfield Town. Relentlessly beaten and bruised, they celebrated their 1-0 victory over Wolves as if they’d won the league. In reality they are still poised for the Championship, but with the pressure kind of off, they could make it two wins in a row at best odds of 9/2 with Bet365.
More to the point, Brighton have to be opposed at odds-on after seven winless league matches - the pressure is most certainly on the south-coasters.
The Seagulls have always relied on their home form but even that’s deserted them of late. An even worse stat: they’ve won just one of their last nine fixtures against sides who began the day in the bottom three.
