Saints Seek Redemption

Southampton have been desperately unlucky to lose 3 on the bounce but they will have to work hard for the points at Burnley.

Southampton will be hoping to put their disappointing week against the big boys behind them when they head to Turf Moor on Saturday. However, they shouldn’t automatically expect an easy return to winning ways since Burnley are an improving side, particularly on their own patch.

The Clarets are unbeaten at home in their last three with a 1-0 victory over Hull being followed by consecutive 1-1 draws. So what we also see is that low scoring games are becoming commonplace at Turf Moor and we should back under 2.5 goals at best odds of 4/5 (BetVictor).

In total, only three of Burnley’s eight home matches have witnessed more than 2 goals while Southampton away games have only been on the high side of that margin in two of seven fixtures.
