Remy Relief For Harry

Harry Redknapp will be delighted that Loic Remy's proposed move away from Loftus Road has so far fallen through.

It may have felt like the same old story for QPR last weekend as they slumped to opening day defeat against Hull, but in truth there were plenty of reasons for optimism. Nobody in the top flight had more attempts on goal (19) and if Charlie Austin had put away his penalty then the outcome would surely have been very different.

Today at White Hart Lane, a good bet to score anytime looks to be Austin’s strike-partner, Loic Remy (3/1 Betfred). Last week the French international played like he had a point to prove after his move to Anfield reportedly collapsed on medical grounds. Liverpool’s loss could now be QPR’s gain.

The 27-year-old scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for a struggling Newcastle side in 2013-14 and 6 in 14 for the Hoops at the tail-end of the season before that. Remy looks like a bargain price against a Spurs side who are yet to convince. He also scored the only goal when the Magpies won on this ground last November.
