Reds To End City's Unbeaten Run?

Liverpool are primed to claim the biggest scalp out there and their defence had shown big signs of improvement, even before Van Dijk arrived. The Reds have also had 8 days off to rejuvenate.

It’s a massive shout to predict Manchester City to lose, even bigger to say they won’t even score at best odds of 11/2 with Skybet.

But that’s we’re going for on Sunday. City have a wretched record at Anfield having failed to win their in 16 attempts going back to 2003. Quite a few of these players have tried and fallen short in that period.

Liverpool are unbeaten in 17 matches themselves across all competitions and can be heartened by how Palace and Bristol City both came close to beating their seemingly invincible visitors. Pep’s boys are vulnerable, and the likes of the retuning Salah, Mane and Firmino can cause them grief.

Yes Coutinho has gone, but the Reds are accustomed to functioning well without all of their ‘Fab Four’ in recent weeks anyway. Besides, Van Dijk has arrived now and he marked his debut in spectacular fashion!

Even without the former Saint, Liverpool have actually kept 9 clean sheets in their last 13 at Anfield. Aguero has never scored on this ground and with Jesus still out, it’s not unthinkable that City’s run could end with a bit of whimper.
