Red Devils Still Crave First Away Win

Big spending United won't answer any of their critics till they start winning on the road. The Hawthorns won't be an easy place to break their duck.

Manchester United may have won their last two league games to move into the top four before the international break, but the jury remains distinctly out when it comes to their progress.

Not withstanding the unconvincing nature of those two 2-1 victories at Old Trafford, the Red Devils are yet to taste success in away match under Louis van Gaal. When you consider those fixtures have come against Burnley, Sunderland, Leicester and MK Dons - it’s hardly been the cream of the crop.

On Monday they face a West Brom side who have only lost once at the Hawthorns (W2 D2 L1), and who have won three of their last four in all competitions.

Given all this, the away victory has to be opposed here. The Baggies played out score draws at home to Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Spurs last term and given that no United match looks likely to end goalless any time soon, another one here looks great value at best odds of 4/1 with BetVictor.
