Red Devils Contemplate Bleak Easter

Goodison Park has been a graveyard for the big boys in recent weeks where Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all failed to score, with only the Merseyside neighbours claiming so much as a point.

Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham was one of the more bewildering results of the season as it came after a concerted run of good form so, for now, I’m putting that down to a one-off and backing the Toffees to win to nil here at best odds of 5/1 with Bet365.

That’s obviously a big call to make against Manchester United - but they haven’t been the same side since that famous night at PSG back in early March. Since then the all-competition record reads W2 D0 L5 and that doesn’t even tell the whole story in terms of a decline.

The Red Devils have now conceded in 10 consecutive matches for the first time in 7 years and lost 4 consecutive away games for the first time this century. The only goals they’ve scored in April have been 2 Pogba penalties and a McTominay strike in defeat to Wolves. It all makes very grim reading for a newly confirmed boss.

In contrast, Everton have recently beaten Arsenal and Chelsea at Goodison, and didn’t concede to either of those, or Liverpool before that.
