Pulis To End The Flak

West Brom have had a great season but the manager is taking criticism despite the club sitting 8th. Expect a response today.

This one will get casually dismissed as one of Saturday’s meaningless clashes with both sides effectively safe. However, Tony Pulis has plenty of motivation following a hapless run for West Brom of four straight defeats and a club record five without even scoring.

Expect the Baggies to come out with something to prove at Turf Moor. They are really well priced at best odds of 8/1 (BetVictor) to win this 1-0.

In their favour is that Burnley will be in celebratory mood following the 2-0 win at Selhurst Park which eased any lingering relegation fears. That was a first away success of the season but they’ve only won one other league game, even at home, since January.

The scoreline makes sense because this is always the Pulis default setting when the going gets tough. His defence remains compact and his side are always liable to grab a goal from a set-piece at the very least.
