Premier League Top 4 Exact Order Tip

Not many will argue too hard about this top two and an ongoing low opinion of Arsenal and Man Utd informs the likely outcome of the other Champions League spots.

Pre-season you’re guaranteed a great price if you can successfully pick the Top 4 order in the Premier League and yet a week from now everyone will think it’s obvious!

It’s true that the very top of the table is getting a little more predictable with few people seeing past Manchester City and Liverpool for 1st and 2nd, even if the title winner is seemingly in the balance.

I’m backing Man City/Liverpool/Spurs/Chelsea at 18/1 with Skybet. That should really have been the final order in May, but Tottenham had a Champions League focus.

City edged out the Reds by a solitary point but I can’t help thinking that the gap may widen again if Kevin De Bruyne stays fit. He’s Pep’s most creative player and, despite acquiring 98pts, they missed his absence in half their top flight games.

Spurs finally broke their transfer record by splashing out £55m on Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, and now Dybala and one of two others may yet be on their way too. Finally settled in their new home, another fine campaign beckons.

The final Champions League spot should go to Chelsea, partly because the other contenders look unbackable. Man Utd failed to win any of their final 5 league games in 2018-19 and despite making good defensive signings, the jury is out at best at Old Trafford.

The same verdict has to be cast on Arsenal even if Pepe offers hope. Emery’s defence falls apart too often away from home.

Back to Chelsea and this bet can also be seen as a vote of confidence in Frank Lampard. He did well enough at Derby and his development of youngsters will be vital at Stamford Bridge. He’s assured the full support of the faithful there, which is more than could be said for Sarri, and he actually did pretty well in the end!

Yes, Hazard will be a loss but this could be a huge season for the likes of Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount, while Pulisic is a top class addition. Maybe Giroud will even be finally given the chance to show why he remains crucial for France.

Given the big price, these hypotheticals don’t sound too outrageous.
