Premier League Draw Double

In the bottom half of the table only 1 team has won more games than it has drawn. When the pressure is on teams struggle to find decisive goals and with relatively low survival targets they learn to respect the point.

As we all know you get the friendliest odds on draws because the majority of punters prefer to back one team that they can side with. But this gives us an opportunity to target where the sharing of the spoils is most likely. Both the following games ending level is a best price 19/2 shot with BetVictor.

Huddersfield v West Ham:

The likeliest result at the John Smith’s Stadium is also the longest price (21/10). Huddersfield have so far kept their encouraging season going but they are winless in 4 league games with 3 of those ending as draws. West Ham are on the better immediate form but have still only tasted victory in 1 of 12 top flight games on the road this season. The Terriers deserve respect for only losing 3 of 11 in front of their own fans - to Spurs, Man City and Chelsea.

Watford v Southampton:

Again the biggest price (12/5) seems the sensible choice when you consider how poor Watford’s home record is (W3 D3 L5) - they rank 17th. Indeed, after 6 defeats in their last 7 in the league you would normally be backing the visitors. But Southampton are winless in 9 league matches so it’s really a case of not trusting either side to take 3 points! The Saints do draw (4) nearly as many as they lose (5) away though. Both teams had uplifting FA Cup results and will be determined not to kill that momentum with morale-sapping losses.
