Pardew Bounce Better Late Than Never

West Brom have finally won a couple of games while Everton have crashed to 4 straight defeats. Momentum could cause an upset here.

Alan Pardew is known for a few things. ‘That dance’ at Wembley is one he’d probably rather forget but his reputation for having a positive impact when he first joins a club is one he’d surely embrace more readily.

The ‘Pardew bounce’ was late coming at West Brom but perhaps it has now arrived and will continue for at least one more game? The Baggies followed their much needed FA Cup win at Exeter with an even more vital 2-0 triumph over Brighton last time out.

At best odds of 31/10 with BetVictor, WBA are worth a punt to inflict a 5th straight defeat on Everton. When the sides met at the Hawthorns on Boxing Day it ended 0-0 but the hosts dominated and ‘did everything but score’ as Pardew legitimately argued.

The ‘Big Sam bounce’ came quickly in December but it seems to have hit the skids just as abruptly. The Toffees have only scored 1 league goal in their last 5 outings and were soundly beaten 4-0 by Spurs last time out.

Allardyce has recruited Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott to add some attacking bite but it might take some time for those two to fit into a new system. Another blip at Goodison could be on the cards.
