Palace Pile On The Pressure
The underlying shot numbers leaves little between the teams but it's West Ham who have all the pressure on them.
Considering Crystal Palace prop up the table all the pressure is on Slaven Bilic and his West Ham team. Always seemingly one game away from a crisis, the Hammers suffered a chastening defeat at the hands of Brighton and one more could spell the end for their Croatian manager.
Crystal Palace weirdly seem on the up, after-all it’s the only place they can go but the appointment of Roy Hodgson seems to have galvanised both team and fans.
Palace have been unlucky this season on shots differential and expected goals I have them just fractionally behind West Ham. Unfortunately their inability to convert chances (or stop them going in) has meant poor results. Eventually they will enjoy a positive swing to their numbers and 7/5 to win at home after beating Chelsea seems generous.
