Nuno Niceties

Palace have had a poor start at Selhurst Park without the Holmesdale Fanatics in situ and Saturday could bring further disappointment with rampant Wolves visiting.

I had pretty high hopes for Crystal Palace this season after the wonders Roy Hodgson has worked but the truth is there will be a ceiling on what they can achieve until they find a goalscoring alternative to Wilf Zaha.

The Eagles have only scored 5 times in 7 league outings so far with their Ivorian talisman netting 3 of those and assisting one other. Benteke continues to look like a shadow of his former self and he is currently injured anyway. Ayew and Sorloth don’t look like filling the void convincingly.

The problem is particularly striking at Selhurst Park where the hosts are yet to score at all. Wolves are unbeaten in 7, keeping clean sheets in 5 of those matches. Back them to win to nil here at best odds of 7/2 with BetVictor.

Only the Manchester clubs have breached Nuno’s defence since mid-August, once apiece, and neither behemoth emerged victorious anyway. Wolves are a serious threat to the top seven this season.
