Norwich Merit Top Flight Status
The Canaries rank in the best three for both shots taken and shots conceded in the Premier League.
During this remarkable season in which only seven home sides have won in the 38 matches to date, Norwich City have to be worth a look at best odds of 16/5 to triumph at St Mary’s Stadium.
Southampton have mustered just two points and two goals from three top flight outings so far and crashed out of the Europa League before even reaching the group stages on Thursday night. And it’s not like performances have been much better than results.
The same can’t be said for the Canaries who are unlucky to not have more than 4pts from their three fixtures. Alex Neil’s boys are 3rd best in the division for shots per game (18.3) while down the other end they have conceded the second fewest attempts per match (7.7).
The price simply reflects the fact that Norwich are newly promoted, but that doesn’t matter when the performance indicators suggest they are a quality side, playing better than their hosts.
