Next PL Manager to Leave Tip: 2021-22

It doesn't feel very positive about a newly promoted team, but blame the well-earned reputation of the Watford board for this one.

In the Next Manager to Leave market in the Premier League, when you combine the favourites for relegation and the most trigger happy board in the top flight, you end up with Xisco Munez at Watford - looking long at 6/1 with PaddyPower.

If there’s one thing we know about Gino Pozzo, it’s that he won’t hang about if things aren’t going to plan at Vicarage Road. Javi Gracia was shown the door in early September 2019, having guided the team to the FA Cup Final in May of that year.

Since then, four other managers have been and gone, none lasting more than 22 matches. Xisco has currently reached 19.

On paper, the Hornets don’t have the worst fixture list to begin with, but that can be a poisoned chalice. Besides which, Villa, Brighton, Spurs and Wolves will still all be eyeing three points.

Of the other bookies’ favourites, Patrick Viera is being assumed to be Frank De Boer 2, while Steve Bruce is doing everything Mike Ashley will expect of him. Hassenhuttl needs a good start (10/1), but nobody begins under pressure quite like Xisco.
