Mel Can't Stop Sharing The Spoils
It was 5-5 in this fixture last season. Unlikely to happen again, although Albion are the draw masters supreme.
You would have made a lot of money by blindly backing West Brom to draw every match this season. Remarkably, the Baggies have shared the spoils in nearly half their top flight fixtures (13 of 27) but we’ll keep getting the odds on the trend continuing.
Manchester United remain favourites (4/5 BetVictor) for showdowns such as this despite their poor season and a terrible performance last time out against Olympiakos. They lost 2-1 to Albion in September, back when such results were a surprise. Indeed, WBA have also held Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
But before anyone gets carried away and favours the home win (4/1 PaddyPower), it’s worth remembering that Pepe Mel is yet to taste victory since he took over (D4 L2) and the Baggies are on a run of one success in 18 across all competitions.
The smart money must be on yet another draw at best odds of 11/4 with Betfred.
