Mata Of Opinion

Jose Mourinho decided that he was better off with Oscar than Juan Mata at Chelsea. Will the £37m Man Utd star come back to haunt his old boss?

The good fortune which Chelsea have enjoyed of late appears to have extended to this fixture already with Louis van Gaal’s options restricted by injury and suspension.

However, in Juan Mata the Dutchman may still have a joker in his pack. The Spanish international has scored three times in his last three outings and those contributions have come against the titans of Liverpool and Manchester City. He is a big match player.

The 26-year-old has further reason to relish a trip to Stamford Bridge having been named Player of the Year at Chelsea in both 2012 and 2013. Mata will not have forgotten how Mourinho then pushed him to the sidelines upon his return to the club. That soon led to his £37 move to Old Trafford.

Mata would love to stick two metaphorical fingers up at his former boss and at 5/1 he is an enticing best price to score anytime with Coral.
