Long Odds Are Too Lengthy

WBA must surely already be regretting the decision to sell a striker who has quickly scored vital goals against Spurs and Sunderland for Steve Bruce.

After two goals in his last two appearances for his new club, Shane Long looks like a bargain at best odds of 27/10 (BetVictor) to score anytime on Tuesday.

The Republic of Ireland international has hit the ground running at Hull City and put in a man of the match performance at the Stadium of Light on Saturday when his five shots could have easily brought more than one goal.

Hull have been competitive at the KC Stadium all season and Long’s blossoming partnership with Nikica Jelavic will only increase their attacking threat. Southampton are the next visitors and after conceding twice at home to Stoke this weekend they look defensively vulnerable.
