Let's Twist Again

If the title race is going to see another shock it could come from this man. He scored two goals at the weekend and the winner in the reverse fixture.

Manchester City can take a giant leap towards the Premier League title on Wednesday night but in a season defined by twists and turns, perhaps we should anticipate another surprise moment.

If there is to be one, it might come in the form of an early strike from Andreas Weimann. The Villa attacker is taking up a particularly advanced role in the absence of Christian Benteke which saw him seize five attempts on goal against Hull at the weekend. The 22-year-old found the net twice, something he should be doing with far more frequency considering the positions he finds himself in.

Weimann also has fond memories of these opponents having scored the winner against Pellegrini’s boys in the reverse fixture back in September. The Austrian international is 18/1 (Paddy Power) to break the deadlock at the Etihad which is a huge price for Villa’s most likely threat.

The Irish firm are also offering your money back on any losing bets if Edin Dzeko scores last in the match. There must be a decent chance of this considering the City striker has three goals in his last two appearances and 24 in all competitions in 2013-14.

*If Edin Dzeko scores last, Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match as a free bet.
