Leicester Can’t Keep Beating The Maths
Leicester keep picking up points but are riding a high conversion rate and save percentage, they are an adjustment waiting to happen.
It seems a bit miserable to pour scorn on Leicester’s title challenge when almost every neutral wants them to win but can we at least call them lucky?
Leicester have taken 10 points from their last four games but they have done so by the narrowest of margins, with three 1-0 victories.
The underlying shots stats don’t make for much better reading either. Leicester scored 5 from 14 shots on target (36% conversion rate) whilst the opposition managed 2 from 9 shots on target (22% conversion rate).
Leicester have been riding high conversion rates and save percentages all season but eventually they will regress to the mean. It might not be enough to derail their title challenge, heck it might not even happen this season but they are an accident waiting to happen.
Crystal Palace ruined Liverpool’s unlikely title bid two seasons back and they could repeat the trick this weekend. At 21/10 (BetVictor) the value is on a home win.
