Just Like Watching Brazil

The September Player of the Month in the Premier League is showing no signs of slowing down.

Although a trip to Hull rates as a tough day out for most in the Premier League, the stats suggest that Graziano Pelle is still overpriced at best odds of 13/8 (Betfair Sportsbook) in the anytime goalscorer market.

The Tigers have actually conceded the most shots in the top flight so far this season at an average of 18.2 per game. The Saints in contrast have only allowed 8.7 shots per fixture which goes some way to explaining why they are second in the table.

Down the other end of the pitch Pelle is in splendid touch having scored 6 Premier League goals, plus 3 more in the Capital One Cup and a further effort on his debut for Italy in October.

But the good news for Ronald Koeman is that the 29-year-old’s performance looks largely sustainable given that he is averaging 4.6 shots per game by himself. Only Sergio Aguero can better than so we should expect the goal glut to continue at the KC Stadium.
