Jose Stock Is Rising Again

In a weekend where we might learn a lot about potential title contenders, the bookies remain rooted in 2018 with their assessment of this one.

In some ways the case for backing Tottenham at best odds of 16/5 with Bet365 comes down to a very basic point. They have looked a bit better than Manchester City so far this season - yet they are down as significant underdogs.

Neither team has lost for a while in the top flight but City are drawing too many matches, failing to take the spoils at either West Ham or Leicester, as well as more forgivingly at home to Liverpool. Then there was the 5-2 debacle against Leicester.

But Pep won’t be unhappy with his defence since then, it’s down the other end where a few concerns linger. Something we never say. But the Blues have scored just 10 goals, compared to 27 after the same number of games last campaign.

Spurs will fancy their chances of repeating their victory in this fixture in February. Kane and Son are currently a threat to absolutely everyone and the absence of Fernandinho remains an issue until a younger model is found.
