Even the best teams rarely dominate both halves, so this is a good market to attack with an improving top-four contender with home advantage.
If it all goes ahead, then Tottenham v Liverpool should serve up some decent festive fare with Antonio Conte’s impact already evident in North London.
With Liverpool largely imperious, Ladbrokes offer a boosted 9/4 on Spurs winning either half - but it looks worthy of serious consideration.
Conte’s boys have won all four of his home matches to date, even if the opposition has been middling to poor. This is a different test entirely, and the Italian will likely miss Son and Moura. But with Van Dijk another probably missing from Covid, perhaps this is the day for Kane to finally step up.
This will be the Merseysiders’ biggest league test since the 3-2 loss at West Ham, and recent 1-0 wins over Villa and Wolves were scraped.
