Had it up to the Nines

It's less than 3 months since Saints lost 9-0 at home to the Foxes but the response from Hassenhuttl's boys has been pretty incredible. One man has led the charge up the table.

Such has been the turnaround in Southampton’s fortunes since the 0-9 shocker in the reverse fixture that it wouldn’t surprise me if Danny Ings put the Saints in front here. He is a best price 11/2 to score first with Bet365 - go each-way so if he scores anytime in the match we still get paid at 1/3rd odds.

Jamie Vardy is expected to return for Leicester and understandably leads the market at 13/5 to break the deadlock. But is he really twice as likely to strike as Ings?

The former Liverpool man is joint-second highest scorer in the division, behind Vardy, with 13 goals despite featuring a team which has struggled for the most part.

With 9 league goals in as many starts, it’s astounding to have Ings as a non-favourite in any match goalscorer market.
