Flat Track Bullies

City have an absymal record against the Premier League's top 10 this season (W2 D3 L8) and that's why we should back the underdogs here.

It’s a significant Manchester derby in terms of the battle for Champions League qualification, and we’d be best advised to back United at a big price (7/2) when you consider City’s performances in the ‘big’ fixtures this season.

It seems to have flown under the radar, but Pellegrini’s boys have taken a shockingly low nine points from 13 league matches against the current top ten in the Premier League (W2   D3 L8) in 2015-16.

The hosts therefore rank 16th in a table based on results against the top half sides whereas United would sit third (W6 D5 L3).

Van Gaal’s had a pretty wretched campaign but it has at least seen highlight wins against Spurs, Liverpool (twice in the league), and Arsenal.

His defence always gives him hope and on balance you would say City miss Kompany even more than United miss their captain Rooney.

The red half of the city could be enjoying the bragging rights on Monday morning.
