Fire Up The Austin

Charlie Austin grabbed a goal in the 18 minutes he was given at the Emirates last weekend and will surely get a start this time around. His goals to minute ratio is outstanding.

One of the most exasperating things about Mauricio Pellegrino was his tendency to name Charlie Austin as a substitute even when he was clearly the club’s best hope for a goal.

Mark Hughes is now manager of Southampton and I can’t see him making the same mistake, even if the former QPR striker had to come off the bench to score last week at Arsenal!

Fitness may have been the rationale on this occasion as Austin continued a comeback from three months on the sideline but he will surely be unleashed from the start against Chelsea. He is worth a flutter at best odds of 9/4 to score anytime with Bet365.

The BB favourite has found the net 6 times in his last 9 top flight appearances or more importantly in his last 562 minutes, which equates to about a goal per game.
