Everton v Leicester Preview

Everton v Leicester Preview

Leicester are on a great run of results and there has been a step change in their underlying shot numbers.

If the Premier League had started at the end of February then Leicester wouldn’t be 4/1 o beat Everton. It’s amazing to see the turnaround in fortunes since Claudio Ranieri was sacked but something behind the scenes must have gone sour given the transformation. After last year’s miraculous season it’s almost fitting that Leicester do something almost as crazy in their title defence.

The good news is that Craig Shakespeare has overseen an improvement in Leicester’s underlying numbers. In the past five games, they are averaging 18.6 shots per game (11.9 season average) and conceded 12.6 (14.4 season average). That leaves Leicester with a shot superiority of 6 shots per game, whereas before they were being outgunned by 2.5 shots per game.

This is a massive turnaround and we must snap up the 4/1 on a Leicester away win.
