Everton Enjoy Home Comforts

The market has been swayed by Liverpool’s good run of form but it is Everton’s defence solidity at home that should catch the eye.

Liverpool enter the Merseyside derby on a fine run of form with just one defeat in their last 13 games (all comps) but the cliché of ‘the form book goes out the window’ for derbies might ring true.

Everton sit lower in the table but their form at Goodison Park has been surprisingly strong.

Roberto Martinez’s team haven’t conceded more than one goal per home game for the past eight matches and pragmatism has set in after a crazy start to the season.

With Everton’s defence looking strong, Brendan Rodgers must be tempted to start with Daniel Sturridge but the derby might have come a week too soon for the injury prone striker.

The market is swayed by Liverpool’s obvious good run of form but the value is found at home. Everton are a best price 12/5 but with Paddy Power refunding losing bets if the match is a draw take thier 9/4.
