Eagles Could Sweep For Glory Against Champions

Palace have won their last 3 at home; United haven't won any of their 3 matches in February.

You’re almost obliged to oppose Manchester Utd these days against less fancied teams, given that bookies still price them up as if they were title contenders. They can’t be legitimate 8/13 shots to win at Selhurst Park, and at 11/2 (Bet365) we might as well have a flutter on the upset win for the hosts.

That may sound too bold, but let’s consider the facts. Since Tony Pulis took the reigns in south London, Palace have only taken two points fewer (19) than the champions (21), and the Eagles have also played a game fewer in that time period.

When you analyse the hosts’ form in front of their own fans then the case for the recently promoted side gets stronger still. Since the start of December, Pulis’s boys have taken 16 points from a possible 21 at ‘Fortress Selhurst.’ That includes three wins on the bounce with just one goal conceded.

Meanwhile the Red Devils haven’t won any of their last four on their travels in all competitions (D1 L3). Having lost at Stoke and drawn at home to Fulham already this month, anything looks possible here.
